The Champaign County Operation Snowball exists because of the hard work of many individuals who have given their time, caring and hearts from its beginning in 1979 until today.

Adult Staff

Executive Director



Robert Silverman
has worked with CCOS on and off since 1980. He's a 1969 graduate of Champaign Centennial High School and has a B.A. degree in Product Design, specializing in designing equipment for disabled children, an M.A. in Rehabilitation Counseling and an M.F.A. in Creative Writing. An Illinois Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, he is the former Youth Services Coordinator of the Champaign County Mental Health Board, former Executive Director of the Champaign-Urbana Jewish Federation, and has worked as a counselor to adolescents and families at various settings, including the Mental Health Center, the Pavilion, and currently at his own counseling practice in Champaign. Staff

 


Sarah Curtiss was raised in Champaign-Urbana and has been involved in Op Snowball since 1996 when she was Teen and Teen Staff. She holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and works at the Developmental Services Center.



Jacob Cafaro is in his last semester of the MSW program at the University of Illinois.



Abby Viohl is in her last semester of the MSW program at the University of Illinois.



Rachel Kravitz is in the MSW program at the University of Illinois.



Arturo Martinez is in the MSW program at the University of Illinois.



Jessica Mwinzi is in the MSW program at the University of Illinois.



Emily Dray is in the Nursing program at the University of Illinois.



Stephanie Pflum is in the Nursing program at the University of Illinois.



Mijung Yoon is working on her Doctorate in Educational Psychology at the University of Illinois and is our data analyst.



Beth German is working on her Master's in Library Science at the University of Illinois and is helping us with data and document management.
